flirt.co.za is a COMPLETELY FREE community website offering a marketplace to all people, and all information submitted to the website should be public.

Some information that you submit on this website however is should be more private and you may only want this information to be displayed to third parties with your permission. For example if you are adding an employment opportunity you will probably want everyone to see this (If you do not want this then do not add the position/data as it will be visible to anyone) and if you are adding your CV you will want this only to be displayed to those that you give permission to view it.

At the end of the day we do display data that you submit on this website to third parties and you should not add any data to this website that you do not wish to be seen by everyone.

Data that you submit on this website: We comply with International Intellectual property law and even the Digital Millennium Copyright Act and we may LEGALLY display all data that we are displaying on this website as we own all data displayed on this website. We promise you that we will not ever sell your email address to ANY third party. (Have you ever read such a promise anywhere?) We do however bundle all submitted data together and all data that you submit on this website is donated by you to us and we may register a critical database as provided for in the ECT Act 25 of 2002, as the data is owned by us. So any required disposition, abuse or theft of the data that you have donated to us, is actionable by ourselves and we are allowed to perform acts like instituting criminal and civil actions when required etc. We never offer data donated by yourself for sale without your explicit or opt out permission where relevant but we may for example offer priority access to recruiting agencies as a function of the website. For purposes of this agreement you can accept that all data you submit is affected. (To see how this could really affect you, you can join as a recruiting agency and view the items of data that are so available.)
