Go with your own transport for the first date never let the guy pick you up.

Do not give out your adress out before you know him better.

Tell one of your friends where you are meeting the guy

Watch your drinks, do not trust any one with your drinks.

One or two glasses of alcohol is enough rather stick with juice or sodas.

Do not ask him about his previous relationships or his ex-girlfriends

Stick to neutral subjects, talk about movies, hobbies, music etc.

A big no for the first date is not to invite him to stay over at your place (or do not stay at his)

Do not ask when you meet again, guys like doing the hunting.

Do not mention anything about getting married or kids... he may just run a way.
